Did you know it all began in 1932 when the founder’s mother crafted hair oil from camellia seeds? In the Archive Exhibition Hall, you’ll get to see vintage cosmetic packaging from the 1950s and even discover the story behind the ‘Oscar’ brand—the first Korean cosmetics to be exported in 1964! Prepare to be wowed by just how chic and stylish Korean women were in the 1960s! Back then, there wasn’t much knowledge about makeup techniques or how to store cosmetics, so Amorepacific stepped in with a brilliant solution—the Beauty Consultant program. These consultants became the go-to experts, sharing beauty secrets and product tips with customers and retailers alike.
Customers were so impressed, they called them “teachers,” and the competition to become one of these beauty consultants was fierce—an incredible 100:1! Starting with just 7 consultants, their ranks grew to an amazing 2,500 by the late 1970s, shaping the future of Korea’s beauty culture along the way.

Get ready to be dazzled by the Archive Exhibition Hall’s collection of about 1,500 posters, including a gem from 1958! One of the highlights is the 1973 poster for the ‘Tamina’ brand, which earned a spot in the Graphis Poster Annual, a global showcase of the world’s best posters. Even today, these posters still have that wow factor—they're as bold and eye-catching as ever, proving that great design never goes out of style!

I remember when my mom used to buy her cosmetics from salespeople who came right to our house! In the Archive, you’ll find the detailed sales manuals they used, filled with clever tips on how to make a sale. Some of the lines are absolute classics:
1. "Wow, your husband is such a handsome man!" Start with a compliment that grabs the customer’s attention.
2. While applying makeup, ‘Bring her dreams to life.’
3. As you introduce the product, say, "That lipstick the model is wearing would look absolutely perfect on you, ma’am."

We wanted to show you this place through video, but since it’s an actual production site, photos and filming are off-limits. This massive automated factory, where skincare and makeup products are made, is as big as 30 soccer fields! The most jaw-dropping part? The skincare packaging room is fully automated! Self-driving mobile robots deliver packaging materials, and from filling to packing, everything is done without a single human hand. Watching the finished products being neatly packed into plastic boxes and transported to the warehouse with zero human involvement—trust me, you’ll be blown away!
